Mr. Orlans offers face to face consultations at the New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City on Wednesdays, and at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage on Thursdays.

Face to face appointments include:

• Measurement of vision

• Measurement of eye pressure

• Dilatation of your pupils with drops

• An in depth discussion of your problem by Mr. Orlans

• A comprehensive examination of your eyes including retinal assessment by Mr. Orlans

• An OCT scan (non-invasive high definition imaging of your retina) if required

Please ensure that you bring your distance glasses with you to the appointment if you have them.

Please note that pupillary dilatation is essential to your assessment and will blur your vision for up to four hours. It is important therefore that you do not drive yourself to the appointment.
